Mineral Colorants

Oxides and Ultramarines can be used in Mineral Makeup, Cold Process Soaps, Melt and Pour Soaps and Bath Salts for color.  Use less for lighter colors and more for darker colors. Start out with a very small amount.

Oxides and Ultramarines can be added directly to soap oil base.  A wire whisk will help disperse the color.  For Melt and Pour soap, mix the color with a little oil before adding it during the heat process.  Start out with about 1/8 of a teaspoon per pound of soap.

For Bath Salts, add a pinch to a pea sized amount of Ultramarine and blend until you have the desired color.  Do not use oxides as they tend to turn brown in salts.

Mineral Colorants aren't recommended for water based lotions and liquid soaps as they are prone to descend to the bottom of the product.
